The modern world has become progressively eco-conscious. Climate care impacts every level of consumerism, with over ⅔ of consumers preferring brands who actively take responsibility and address environmental issues.
At Glass Partitioning UK, we’re determined to positively contribute to the imperative demand for sustainability, all while encouraging our customers to make informed, eco-friendly choices. As part of this, we’ve committed to furthering our impact on the environment by donating a portion of our sales to Moor Trees, an independent charity who aim to repopulate the Devonshire countryside with native trees.
How are Glass Partitions Sustainable?
We encourage our customers to build with glass as a sustainable alternative to other partitioning materials. As an abundant, raw material, glass is endlessly recyclable – meaning it can be recycled in closed loop over and over again. In fact, the amount of solid waste produced by the glass industries during manufacturing is extremely low, with nearly all waste glass being returned to furnaces to serve as raw material.
There are many ways glass can help provide a clearer vision to a greener environment, including:
- Glass can be fully recycled with no impact to quality
- Glass is made from natural, renewable resources
- Glass has design qualities that can reduce energy-use and expenditures, such as the optimisation of natural light
- Whilst energy is used in the process of recycling glass, the additional waste created is extremely low
At Glass Partitioning UK, we wanted to go one step further. We’ve teamed up with Moor Trees and their plant a tree scheme to help contribute to a sustainable future..
