The modern world has quickly become progressively eco-conscious. It impacts every level of consumerism, with over two thirds of consumers preferring brands who actively address environmental issues. At Glass Partitioning UK, we are determined to positively contribute to the imperative demand for sustainability while also allowing our customers to make informed, eco-conscious choices.

Not only do we encourage customers to utilize glass as a sustainable alternative to other partitioning materials, we have also committed to furthering our sustainability efforts by donating a portion of each of our sales to Moor Trees, who aim to repopulate the Devonshire countryside with native trees.

Why Choose Glass Partitioning?

Glass is an abundant raw material. It is fully recyclable, meaning it can be recycled in closed loop over and over again. The amount of solid waste produced by the glass industries during manufacturing is extremely low, with almost all waste glass being put back into furnaces to serve as raw material.

Glass partitioning is also a smart investment for its design qualities and functionality. From fire rated glass to acoustic insulation, curved panels to banded partitions, glass offers a versatile solution. Architects not only use large glazed areas for their energy-saving properties, but also because they facilitate natural light flow in buildings which can enhance living and working conditions. Not only does this save energy expenditure, it also contributes to occupants’ well-being and improved health conditions.

Plant a tree scheme

Glass clearly offers an abundance of environmental benefits! However, we want to challenge our sustainability further. We have recently partnered with Moor Trees and will be donating a portion of our sales to support their amazing work. Moor Trees have planted over 100,000 native trees, helping to populate woodlands in Devon

In their lifetime, one tree can absorb up to 1.5 tonnes of carbon. In London alone, trees remove 2.4 million tonnes of air pollution, including CO2, dust and other gaseous toxins. With continued momentum and support, tree planting is a fantastic way to positively impact the environment and our own livelihoods. Not only do trees improve air quality, they also provide essential green space for communities to explore, nurture and learn about ecology and eco-initiatives.
