The Challenge

The client, Big Sky, got in touch with our team at Glass Partitioning UK as they wanted a trendy banded glass solution to create a new meeting space within their office.

Due to the nature of their business (production and editing), the client’s glass office needed high performing acoustic qualities to improve privacy. In addition to this, the familiar soundscape of the main office is often noisy due to employees watching videos and talking through ideas, so their new glass meeting room had to insulate these sounds, blocking noise from travelling into the room.

Along with finding a suitable glazed acoustic partitioning for our client’s project, our team faced an extra challenge during installation as the glass needed to be installed along uneven brickwork and sloping walls and ceilings.

The Solution

To combat acoustics in the new glazed meeting room, our in-house experts specified our premium double glazed acoustic glass. This configuration is our best performing sound solution, with fixed partitions insulating up to 50dB so that loud speech can’t be heard through the glass panes and the client had a private space in the office.

The banded glass complemented the exposed, industrial design of the existing office. For this, we used a black aluminium framework with UVPC bars that formed a grid across the glass pane.

Alongside this, we installed a glass door with a lockable feature that provided the client with additional security.

Our team are fully trained experts, with years of industry experience. This means we have a fun tricks up our sleeve when it comes to any potentially unique areas when it comes to installation. Having conducted a thorough site visit, we identified the client’s exposed brickwork and sloped flooring and ceilings so that we could successfully shape their glazed walls to the workplace.

If you’re looking for a modern solution to divide innovative areas in your workplace, please get in touch with our team.
