The Brief
Sometimes, in a busy office, finding space for private meetings can feel impossible. Our client, based in Yoevil, was dealing with exactly that: a crowded workplace where staff needed a dedicated meeting room that could offer privacy when required, without taking away from the open, collaborative feel of the office.
So, how do you create a meeting space that feels private and confidential, but doesn’t close off the space, block natural light or disrupt workflow? Traditional walls could have done the job, but they would’ve made the office feel cramped and disconnected.

For our clients, it was clear that glass partitioning was an ideal solution. They contacted our team for help bringing their vision to life. They wanted a system that was modern, flexible and would actually support the team that used the space daily.
Key considerations for their project included:
- Privacy without isolation – Meetings needed to be private, but the room also had to remain visually connected to the rest of the office. Staff should still feel part of a wider workplace (rather than shut away).
- Minimal disruption – The office couldn’t shut down during installation. Any solution needed to fit around our client’s needs, with minimal disruption to their busy office space. We also had to consider delivery schedules, on-site space for assembly and timing to ensure the office remained operational.
- Style and integration – The project required a modern solution that complemented the office design, rather than looking like an add-on.
In short, the Yeovil team needed a meeting space that could adapt to their dynamic office environment – and our glass walls emerged as the perfect option to meet these requirements.
The Solution
To meet our client’s privacy needs, we specified double glazed glass partitions. A fixed partition can provide sound protection of up to 40-44 dB, meaning conversations inside the room have a level of privacy – even when the office is busy. The extra layer of glass creates an air gap that reduces sound transfer, keeping noise contained where it should be. This makes the newly divided space perfect for meetings, team calls or client discussions.
To give the team full control, we then installed glass partitioning blinds between the panels that can be opened or closed with a simple touch of a button. One minute, the room is open and light-filled. The next, it’s fully private. It’s a flexible solution that actually gets used by our client’s team members, day in, day out. It also means the workplace can adapt to the ever-changing pace of the business’s needs.

Throughout the project, minimising disruption was key. The private glass partitions arrived on site made to measure, meaning we were cutting, adjusting or making any huge changes on-site. Installation was therefore quick, precise and coordinated around our client’s needs to minimise distractions where possible. We also ensured all debris and materials were managed carefully to keep the space clean and safe throughout the process.
This project shows that privacy and style don’t have to be mutually exclusive. With the right glass partitioning and support from the experts, you can keep your office bright, open, collaborative AND private, all at the same time.
